BIOGRAPHY
Álvaro Tauchert Soler was born in Barcelona on the 9th of January 1991. His father is German and his mother is Spanish. He has one brother, Gregory Tauchert, and one sister, Paula Tauchert. As a kid, Alvaro went to the German school in Barcelona. When he was 10 years old, Alvaro moved with his family to Tokyo in Japan for his father’s work, where he also atended the German school. For his 10th birthday, Alvaro received an electric keyboard from his parents, and it was then when he discovered his passion for music. As a teenager, Alvaro did already a lot to develop his big musical talent; he was member of the school choir and of the school band, and he also went to karaoke bars with his friends.
At the age of 17, Alvaro and his family went back to Barcelona, where he studied car engineering and design at the Elisava School of Design and Engineering. In 2010, Alvaro founded the band Urban Lights together with his brother Gregory, and his friends from university Ramón Mañas and Borja. Urban Lights brought out music exclusively in English and their styles of music were britpop, indie pop, rap and EDM. Alvaro played the keyboard in this band, and did the backing vocals, his brother Gregory was the lead singer, Ramón played the drums, and Borja was the guitarist of the band. Urban Lights brought out two self-produced albums, which are Urban Lights, released in October 2012, and Mega Fauna, released in October 2014.
In April 2013, they won the semifinal of the Spanish talent show Tu Si Que Vales (broadcast on Telecinco channel) with their single Beats in My Soul. In July 2013, Alvaro finished his studies at Elisava, and at the same time, he managed a songwriting contract with the important music publishing company Sony ATV, who in March 2014 sent him to a songwriting camp in Tyrol in Austria. It was at this songwriting camp where Alvaro met his future manager Benjamin Budde, who brought Álvaro in contact with the talented German songwriters and producers Simon Triebel and Alexander Zuckowski. In August 2014, Simon and Alexander invited Álvaro to work with them on a Spanish language project, Eterno Agosto, and for several months, they wrote and produced together the songs of Eterno Agosto in a recording studio in Berlin, experimenting with lots of new and organic sounds, and using a great variety of instruments. In October 2014, simultaneously with the release of Urban Lights’ 2th studio album Mega Fauna, Alvaro was offered a record deal with Universal Music Germany and Air Force 1 Records to be the singer of the project Eterno Agosto. Subsequently, Alvaro left his band Urban Lights to start his career as a solo artist. In January 2015, Alvaro moved to Berlin where he recorded the last parts of his cd Eterno Agosto.
On the 24th of April 2015, Alvaro released his first single El Mismo Sol, which after only two weeks went straight to one in Italy, and also became a number one in countries like Switzerland and Poland, and entered the top 5 on ITunes in over 30 countries. On the 23rd of August 2015, Alvaro brought out his debut album as a solo artist, Eterno Agosto, which had an astonishing success all over Europe and in the world, and catapulted him to fame. And if this weren’t enough, three months following to the release of El Mismo Sol, the Latin superstar Jennifer Lopez contacted Alvaro to work with her on a Spanglish version of El Mismo Sol, Under the Same Sun. This collaboration resulted in Alvaro and Jennifer Lopez recording together the official music video in New York, and they also performed the song together in two occasions, first at the Heart Radio Festival in Las Vegas on September 19, and then at the Fiesta Latina in Miami on November 7.
In April 2016, Alvaro consolidated his already very successful and promising career by launching his second big hit, Sofia, which became a number one in Italy, Switzerland, Poland, the Zcech Republic and Belgium, and landed in the top 5 in all European countries. In the autumn of 2016, Alvaro showed his great maturity and musical versatility as a judge on the most popular Italian talent show X Factor Italia, where he was an excellent mentor for the group Soul System, and helped them to win the final of the show in December.
In 2017, Alvaro scored another number one hit with his single Animal, which came out in February, and subsequently with his single Yo Contigo Tu Conmigo, which he wrote and produced together with the Colombian music group Morat for the soundtrack of the movie Gru 3: Mi Villano Favorito (Despicable Me 3). In February and March 2017, Alvaro toured Europe with his album Eterno agosto, doing 24 shows in Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany, and most of his concerts were sold out. In the summer of 2017, Alvaro did a smaller Italian tour, with also lots of sold-out dates. In the Fall, Alvaro withdrew into his recording studio in Berlin where he focussed on writing and recording the new songs for his second album, being supported by his two talented producers Ali and Simon. In November 2017, Alvaro proved to be a winner again, when he took home the Los 40 Principales Music Award in the category Song of the Year with Yo Contigo Tu Conmigo, and the DAF BAMA Music Award to Best Spanish Act. On November 20 2017, Alvaro closed his successful Eterno Agosto Tour with his sold-out concert at the Forum Karlin in Prague.
In March of 2018, Alvaro launched his enormously successful hit single La Cintura, for which he recorded a music video in Havana, Cuba, featuring the famous German model Toni Garrn. In mid-April, Alvaro started his promo tour presenting La Cintura with promo stops in Rome, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona, Bratislava, Vienna, Paris, Berlin and other cities in Germany, Warsaw, Zurich, Russia, the Netherlands and Belgium. In only a few weeks' time, La Cintura climbed to the first positions on all radio charts and digital sales charts in Europe, and reached Triple Platinum Status both in Italy as in Spain, and became a Gold Record in Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium and Mexico. On September 7th 2018, Alvaro released his second studio album Mar de Colores which reached the 10th position on one of world's most important Latin charts Billboard Latin Pop Albums.
Following to the release of Mar de Colores, Alvaro conquered Europe and the world with two new international top hits; Loca (January 2019) and La Libertad (May 2019). These two singles were also included as bonus tracks into the album Mar de Colores Extended Edition 2019, also released in May 2019. The same month, dozens of thousands Alvaro fans had one of the most unforgettable times of their lives when they saw him perform live with his Mar de Colores Europe Tour. This incredibly successful international tour consisted of 12 concerts in countries like the Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland and Spain. Most tour dates were sold out. In the summer of 2019, Alvaro performed for huge crowds during his European festival tour, which took him to countries like Hungary (Szeged Youth Festival on August 30 2019) and allowed him to perform at the prestigious international Spanish Cap Roig Festival (his concert there was sold out too). In September 2019, Alvaro played his first arena tour in Germany; his German Mar de Colores Tour, which consists of five tour dates in Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Oberhausen. A moment to be remembered was undoubtedly his Latin American Mar de Colores Tour in December where his fans from Mexico and Chile got the opportunity to enjoy his huge talent as a performer.
After a long pause of one year and a half due to the corona pandemic, Alvaro returned to the music scene with his newest album Magia, released on the 9th of July 2021, which contains the singles Magia, Si Te Vas, Mañana and Alma de Luz.
In January 2022, Alvaro released the single A Contracorriente, which is a collaboration with the Spanish singer David Bisbal, and in April of this year, he released Solo Para Ti, an EDM song featuring Topic. In the summer, Alvaro played lots of shows in Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Germany and Spain with his Magia summer tour, before playing for sold-out arenas in his Magia European Tour in September. In October, Alvaro did a smaller and more intimate tour around
Spain, called the "En Tu Piel Tour".
On the 5th of May 2023, Alvaro released 'Muero', which became a hit in Belgium and the Netherlands, and on July 28 2023, he brought out the rock-'n-roll-like song 'Para Vivirla', which was followed by 'Oxígeno', brought out on September 8th 2023. Alternating with releasing music, Alvaro did a successful summer tour in several countries of Europe (Germany, Austria and Slovakia) and he appeared for the third time as a judge and a coach on the 12th season of the popular German talent show The Voice Kids, alongside Wincent Weiss, Lena-Ruth Landmeyer, Michi Beck and Smudo (Also in the Spring of 2021 and 2022, he was on the judges team of The Voice Kids Germany).

Álvaro Tauchert Soler nació en Barcelona el 9 de enero del 1991 de padre alemán y madre española. Tiene un hermano Gregory Tauchert, y una hermana Paula Tauchert. De niño fue a la escuela alemana en Barcelona. A la edad de diez años, se mudó con toda su familia a Tokio en Japón por motivos del trabajo de su padre, donde acudió también a la escuela alemana. Por su décimo cumpleaños sus padres le regalaron un piano eléctrico, y fue entonces cuando descubrió su pasión por la música. De adolescente, Álvaro ya hizo un montón de cosas para desarrollar su gran talento musical; formó parte del coro de su escuela, tocó en una banda, y además fue a cantar a bares de karaoke acompañado de sus amigos.
A la edad de 17 años, Álvaro y su familia regresaron a Barcelona, donde estudió ingeniería y diseño de coches en la Escuela Universitaria de Diseño e Ingeniería Elisava. En el 2010, Álvaro fundó el grupo musical Urban Lights, integrado también por su hermano Greg, así como dos compañeros de la universidad, Ramón Mañas y Borja. Urban Lights produjo música exclusivamente en inglés de los estilos musicales britpop, indie pop, rap y EDM, y del grupo, Álvaro fue el teclista y vocalista de apoyo, mientras que su hermano Greg fue el vocalista principal, Ramón tocó la batería, y Borja fue el guitarrista. En total, sacaron dos álbumes auto producidos, es decir Urban Lights (octubre de 2012) y Mega Fauna (octubre de 2014). En abril de 2013, ganaron la semifinal del talent show español Tu Si Que Vales (televisado en Telecinco) con su single Beats in My Soul.
En julio de 2013, Álvaro terminó sus estudios en Elisava, y al mismo tiempo logró un contrato de compositor con una de las editoriales musicales más importantes Sony ATV, quienes en marzo de 2014 le mandaron a un campamento de songwriting en Tirol en Austria. Es en ese campamento donde Álvaro conoció a su futuro manager Benjamin Budde, quien le puso en contacto con los talentosos compositores y productores alemanes Simon Triebel y Alexander Zuckowski. En agosto de 2014, Simon y Alexander invitaron a Álvaro a colaborar con ellos en un proyecto en castellano, Eterno Agosto, y durante varios meses compusieron y produjeron entre los tres las canciones de Eterno Agosto en un estudio situado en Berlín, y eso experimentando con muchos sonidos nuevos y orgánicos, y utilizando una gran variedad de instrumentos. En octubre de 2014, coincidiendo con el estreno del segundo álbum de Urban Lights, Mega Fauna, Álvaro fue ofrecido un contrato de discos con la renombrada disquera Universal Music Alemania y también con Air Force 1 Records para cantar las canciones de Eterno Agosto. De esta forma sucedió que Álvaro dejó su grupo Urban Lights para empezar su carrera en solitario. En enero de 2015, Álvaro se mudó a Berlin, donde le puso los últimos retoques a su primer disco Eterno Agosto.
El 24 de abril de 2015, Álvaro lanzó su primer sencillo, El Mismo Sol, que en tan sólo dos semanas, llegó a ser número uno en las radios y las listas de ventas en Italia, además de alcanzar el primer puesto también en las listas en Suiza y en Polonia, y entrar en el top 5 en ITunes en más de 30 países por el mundo entero. El 23 de agosto de 2015, Álvaro estrenó su primer disco en solitario Eterno Agosto, que tuvo un enorme éxito por Europa y por el mundo, y le convirtió en uno de los artistas más populares del momento. Y si esto no fuera suficiente, tres meses después de salir El Mismo Sol, la muy famosa cantante latina Jennifer López contactó a Álvaro para colaborar en una adaptación al spanglish de El Mismo Sol del título Under The Same Sun, colaboración que culminó en la grabación de un vídeo musical en Nueva York en agosto del 2015, y que los llevó a cantar juntos en el Heart Radio Festival en Las Vegas el 19 de septiembre, y en la Fiesta Latina en Miami el 7 de noviembre.
En abril del 2016, Álvaro consolidó su carrera exitosa y muy prometedora al lanzar su segundo gran éxito, Sofía, canción que superó el gran éxito de El Mismo Sol al ser un rotundo número uno en las emisoras de radio, las plataformas de streaming, y las ventas digitales en Italia, Suiza, Polonia, la República Checa y Bélgica, y al entrar en el top 5 en todos los países europeos. En otoño de 2016, Álvaro hizo muestra de su gran madurez y versatilidad musical como miembro del jurado del popular programa musical X Factor Italia, donde con mucho ingenio musical guió a su grupo Soul System, y los ayudó a llevarse la victoria en la final del programa en diciembre.
En el año 2017 Álvaro arrasó en las listas con su sencillo Animal, que sacó en febrero, y consecutivamente con su tema Yo Contigo Tu Conmigo, que es una colaboración con el grupo colombiano Morat y fue escrito y producido para la banda sonora de la película Gru 3: Mi Villano Favorito. Asimismo, hizo en febrero y marzo del año pasado una gira europea con fechas en Polonia, la República Checa, Austria, Italia, España, Francia, Holanda, Bélgica, Suiza y Alemania, donde se colgó el cartel "no hay entradas" en la mayoría de los conciertos, y el inmenso éxito de su gira de invierno se repitió meses después en su gira de verano por Italia. En otoño del 2017, Alvaro se retiró en su estudio de grabación en Berlin, donde se enfocó en escribir y grabar las nuevas canciones para su segundo disco, siendo respaldado por sus dos talentosos productores Ali y Simon. En noviembre, Alvaro volvió a arrasar, cuando junto con Morat, se llevó el Premio Los 40 Principales a la Canción del Año con Yo Contigo Tu Conmigo, y fue reconocido como el Mejor Artista Español en los Premios DAF BAMA 2017. El 20 de noviembre de 2017, Alvaro cerró con brillo su exitosa gira Eterno Agosto con su magnífico concierto en el Forum Karlin en Praga, donde también en muy poco tiempo se agotaron las entradas.
En marzo del 2018, Álvaro lanzó su sencillo de gran éxito La Cintura, para el que grabó un vídeo musical en La Habana, Cuba, coprotagonizado por la famosa modelo alemana Toni Garrn. A mediados de abril, Álvaro arrancó su gira de promoción a fin de presentar La Cintura en ciudades como Roma, Milán, Madrid, Barcelona, Bratislava, Viena, París, Berlín, Varsovia, Zúrich, Sochi (Rusia), Ámsterdam y Bruselas. En tan sólo unas semanas, La Cintura subió a las primeras posiciones en las radios y en las listas de streaming y ventas en toda Europa, alcanzando triple Disco de Platino tanto en Italia como en España, y Disco de Oro en Alemania, Finlandia, Suiza, Suecia, Bélgica y México. El 7 de septiembre de 2018, Álvaro sacó su segundo álbum de estudio que lleva el título Mar de Colores, un disco muy diverso de destacada calidad que aterrizó en el décimo puesto en uno de los rankings musicales más importantes del mundo, es decir Billboard Latin pop Albums.
Siguiendo al lanzamiento de Mar de Colores, Álvaro conquistó Europa y el mundo con dos nuevos exitazos internacionales, es decir Loca (enero de 2019) y La Libertad (mayo de 2019). Estos dos temas de mucho éxito se incluyeron también como canciones inéditas en su nuevo álbum Mar de Colores Versión Extendida 2019, que salió también en mayo de 2019. Al mismo tiempo, muchas decenas de miles de fans de Álvaro pasaron una de las mejores experiencias de su vida cuando vieron en concierto a su ídolo con su gira internacional Mar de Colores Europe Tour 2019, que consistió de 12 fechas en países como la República Checa, Suiza, Italia, Francia, Holanda, Bélgica, Luxemburgo, Austria, Polonia y España. En la mayoría de las fechas se colgó el cartel 'ya no hay entradas'. En verano de 2019, Álvaro deleitó a inmensas multitudes durante su gira de festivales europea, que lo llevó a entregar su primer concierto en Hungría (en el Szeged Youth festival el 30 de agosto de 2019) y que le hizo triunfar en el prestigioso festival español Cap Roig Festival, donde también se agotaron todas las entradas. En septiembre, Álvaro llenó los estadios de Alemania, en particular los de Berlín, Hamburgo, Stuttgart, Francfurt y Oberhausen durante su gira alemana Mar de Colores. En diciembre cruza el charco para llevar su gira internacional Mar de Colores a América Latina, donde también tiene muchísimos seguidores, y sus dos conciertos impresionantes vivirán para siempre en los recuerdos de sus fans de México y Chile.
Después de una larga pausa de un año y medio, que se debe en gran parte a la pandemia de corona, Álvaro regresó a la escena musical con su álbum más reciente Magia, que vio la luz el 9 de julio de 2021, e incluyó los sencillos Magia, Si Te Vas, Mañana y Alma de Luz.
En enero de 2022, Álvaro lanzó el sencillo A Contracorriente, una colaboración con el cantante español David Bisbal, y en abril de este año, lanzó al mercado musical el tema Sólo Para Ti, una canción al estilo EDM que cuenta con la colaboración del DJ alemán-croata Topic. En verano, Álvaro tocó muchos conciertos en Eslovaquia, Hungría, Austria, Alemania y España con su gira veraniega Magia, antes de agotar en septiembre aforos por toda Europa en su gira europea Magia. En octubre, Álvaro realizó una gira más pequeña e íntima por España, llamada el "En Tu piel Tour".
El 5 de mayo de 2023, Álvaro estrenó el tema Muero, que fue todo un éxito en Bélgica y en Holanda, y consecu-tivamente, el 28 de julio de 2023, lanzó la canción un poco al estilo de rock-'n'-roll 'Para Vivirla', seguido por 'Oxígeno' el 8 de septiembre. Alternando con sacar música, Álvaro recorrió varios países europeos (Alemania, Austria y Eslovaquia) con una exitosa gira de verano, y apareció como juez y entrenador en la 12a temporada del popular programa alemán The Voice Kids, junto con los artistas Wincent Weiss, Lena-Ruth Landmeyer, Michi Beck y Smudo (También en primavera de 2021 y 2022, Álvaro estuvo en The Voice Kids Alemania)
